Our Story

Sudha Kumar, the founder of The Learning Spot, began her journey in the early 2000s with a master's degree in microbiology and four years of teaching at Navi Mumbai Medical College. 

Sudha Kumar’s life and career are a living testament to passion, purpose, and the deep-rooted values that define her journey. Every phase of her life, every decision she’s made, and every dream she’s pursued has stemmed from the very essence of who she is: an educator, a visionary, a mother, and a believer in the limitless potential of human kindness and knowledge.

As an educator, Sudha made it her life’s mission to break down barriers in learning. She recognized that many children were weighed down by fear—especially when it came to subjects like math. The anxiety, the dread, and the self-doubt that children faced were not just hurdles; they were walls that prevented them from reaching their true potential

Her goal- to make “Maths” Fun and engaging for children led her to start an academy for Maths, The Learning Spot Academy. As the name truly suggests The learning spot is a one stop solution for all the Math Problems which not only children face but adults too.

Started with one course, iMaths, in 2013…today The Learning Spot offers various courses (offline as well as online):

4. Coaching for competitive exams
